Will I need retouches after the treatments are complete?
The need for retouches varies from person to person. Some will never need retouches after completion. Some will require a few touchups throughout the next year, and some will come in once.
Who is the LightSheer Diode laser not suitable for?
Those who have dark or tanned skins cannot be safely treated with the LightSheer. The laser is attracted to the color of the hair (brown) but can't distinguish between skin and hair so if the skin is dark, it will absorb the laser energy and may result in burns.
Laser only works on hair that contains a brown pigment (from light brown to black) But does not work on Blond, Grey, or Red hair.
Does LightSheer Laser work if I have PCOS?
People who suffer from PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) will have varying degrees of success with laser hair removal. The severity of your case will be a factor in the outcome of the treatments. Excessive hair caused by PCOS presents a challenge for laser as the hair growth is caused by a hormonal imbalance.
That being said, many of my clients with PCOS have been successfully treated to completion without the need for retouches.
Others with severe cases require maintenance touchups periodically to remain hair-free.
